Patrick M. Maloney Jr., longtime resident of the Talty community, died in a local hospital early Thursday morning. Rosary will be recited at the Anderson-Clayton Chapel at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Funeral mass will be held at St. Martin's church at Talty at 10:30 a.m. Saturday with Father Raymond Scott as celebrant. Interment will be in Oakland Memorial Park.
Patrick Martin Maloney, Jr., a son of the late Patrick M. Maloney Sr. and Julia Cronin Maloney, was born in Kaufman County on Aug. 15, 1915. He grew up in the Talty Community and was educated in the school at St. Martin's. He moved to Austin 17 years ago and was employed in the maintenance department of the State Capital until ill health forced his retirement several months ago. He has made his home in Terrell since that time.
He was a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church.
Surviving him are one brother, Jerry Maloney of Talty; three sisters, Mary Murphy of Rawlins, Wyoming, Agnes Pitts of Malakoff and Lillian Maloney of Dallas; a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Note: According to the Texas Death Index, Patrick Maloney, Jr. died on December 6, 1984 in Kaufman County.
