Mrs. Julia Maloney, widow of the late Pat M. Maloney, died in a local hospital Saturday afternoon (Sept. 22, 1962) following an illness of several weeks.
Rosary was recited at the residence at 8 p.m. Sunday. Requiem Mass was held from St. Martin's Catholic Church at Talty at 10 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Casimir Glogowski as celebrant.
Burial was in Oakland Memorial Park under the direction of the Anderson-Clayton Funeral Home.
Mrs. Maloney, a native of County Cork, Ireland, came to this country as a young girl. She came to Kaufman County soon after her arrival here and has been a resident of the Irish Ridge community at Talty since that time.
She was a life-long member of the Catholic Church.
Her husband, Pat. M. Maloney, and one son, Mike Maloney, have preceded her in death.
Survivors include four sons, Jerry Maloney and Patrick Maloney, both of Terrell, and Tom Maloney and Joe Maloney, both of Dallas; four daughters, Mrs. Roland Murphy of Rawlins, Wyo., and Mrs. Roy Pitts, Mrs. Robert Cozine and Miss Lillian Maloney, all of Dallas; 14 grand-children; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Patrick Cronin of Ireland; four sisters, Miss Margaret Cronin, Miss Hannah Cronin, Mrs. Catherine Noonan and Mrs. Elizabeth O'Callahan, all of Ireland; and several nieces and nephews.
