Pat M. Maloney, prominent Talty farmer passed away early Saturday morning in a Terrell hospital from injuries received in an explosion of a compressor at the Terrell Farm Supply. Rosary was recited Sunday at 8 o'clock p.m. at the residence and the funeral mass as held Monday morning at 10 o'clock a.m. at St. Martin Catholic Church, with Msgr. John M. Weiwell as celebrant. Interment was in Oakland Memorial Park in Terrell.
Patrick Martin Maloney, a native of Ireland, was born Dec. 15, 1876. He came to the United States and down to Texas in 1896 where he became a resident first at Chisholm. There he resided about ten years. He then moved to the community known as "Irish Ridge" as Talty was called at that time and has been engaged in farming in that area since that time. Mr. Maloney was a life-long member of the Catholic Church.
He was married to Miss Julia Cronin on November 26, 1907 and to this union nine children were born. Surviving him are: his wife, Mrs. Julia Maloney; five sons, Thomas, Mike and Joe Maloney, all of Dallas, Patrick and Jerry Maloney of Terrell; four daughters, Mrs. Roland Murphy of Rawlins, Wyoming, Mrs. Roy E. Pitts, Miss Lillian Maloney and Mrs. Bob Cozine, all of Dallas; two sisters, Mrs. M.B. Barnett of Dallas, Sister M. Patrice of New Orleans, La
