Favorite Recipes, Forney Historic Preservation League

This is an update to the cookbook originally published by the Forney Heritage Society. The Heritage Society has since disbanded, but the FHPL tries to continue the efforts to teach and preserve Forney’s history and heritage. The first cookbook proved very popular and was reprinted in 1990, 2001, and 2013.

This 2016 version keeps many of the tried and true recipes of the original while adding a few new dishes, too. Those familiar with Forney’s history likely will recognize some of the family names held by contributors. Names/Families include Criswell, Roland, Bryant, Feagin, Costello, Eudy, Dewberry, Townsend, Warren, and more.
