FORNEY IMPRESSED me greatly out here at Memorial Stadium Friday night. I never seen such power on a Forney ball club. They were big, fast and versatile. BROOKSY ROLAND, who has another year to go, yet, was the best boy they had the other night, although J.C. Mitchell made the longest run.
Roland and Mitchell were every bit the “touchdown twins” they were boomed to be, and to be so big, they were remarkably fast. I got a big kick out of the show those big boys put on, but, too, I was proud of the great fight put up by the outweighed and outclassed Judson eleven.
The only thing disappointing about the game was the crowd. Played in perfect football weather, the tilt should have packed Memorial stadium, but it was only two-thirds filled. It was too far for Judson fans to attend in big numbers, I guess, cause their side was the only one not really filled up good.
Note: This article had no title, date or newspaper name, but it looks like it covers the Judson Grove game.
