Mike Glynn, a pioneer resident of the Talty community, passed away early this morning. Rosary will be recited in the chapel of Anderson-Clayton Bros. at 8:00 p.m. tonight. Requiem Mass will be held at St. Martin's church at Talty at 9:30 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Francis Brady as celebrant.
Interment will be in Oakland Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Patrick Maloney, Olen Coleman Jr., Jerry Maloney, Mike Maloney, Pat Sline, and Charles Rouvaldt.
Michael Thomas Glynn was born in Anna, Texas on November 19, 1875. His parents, the late John and Delia Glynn, came to Kaufman county when he was a small boy and he had remained a resident of the Talty community since that time. He had been engaged in farming on the same place since 1910. He was very active in community affairs until his health became such that he was forced to give up many of the activities he enjoyed so much. He was a member of the Catholic church.
Glynn was married to Miss Marie Murphy on April 6, 1910. Surviving him are his wife, two sons, Tommy Glynn of Talty, Jack Glynnn of Dallas; one daughter, Mrs. H. H. Hagius of Price, Utah, and ten grandchildren.
Note: There's a Michael Thomas Glynn in the Texas Death Index, died February 26, 1954 in Kaufman County.
