Mike Costello, a member of one of the pioneer families of the Irish Ridge, passed away at a local hospital shortly after noon Tuesday.
Rosary will be recited in the Anderson-Clayton Chapel at 8:00 p.m. tonight. Requiem Mass will be held at St. Martin's Catholic church at Talty at 10:00 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Francis Gabryl as celebrant.
Interment will be in Oakland Memorial Park with his nephews
serving as pallbearers.
Michael Charles Costello was born in Atoka, Oklahoma on May 22, 1883. The family came to Kaufman county and to the Irish Ridge when he was two years old and he had been a resident there since that time. He had farmed until ill health forced his retirement a few years ago.
He was a member of St. Martin's Catholic church.
He was married on January 9, 1912 to Miss Mary Ann Vaughan. Survivng him are his wife, two sisters, Mrs. C. J. Adams and Miss Mary Costello, both of Dallas.
