| Mr. Marion Sowell formerly a resident of this place died at his home in Merkle, Texas, last Friday. He had been sick for some time with fever and had not paid much attention to it when he was suddenly taken with typhoid fever and died. Dr. L.M. Stroud of this place was telegraphed for but it was too late when he got there to save him. Mr. Sowell has many friends and relatives in Forney to whom we extend our deepest sympathy. He also leaves a wife and child, a little girl about five years old. Mrs. Sowell is the daughter of Mr. J.W. Chapman, one of our most honored citizens. |
