Mrs. Garlitz Dies at Home
Mrs. Ilda Mae Garlitz, 63, who had lived in Dallas thirty-five years, died Sunday at her home, 4700 Columbia, after a long illness.
Born in Tennessee, Mrs. Garlitz came to Texas as a girl and settled in Forney. It was there that she met and married Cal Garlitz, a salesman for the Knapp Shoe Company. They were married forty-six years until Garlitz died in 1946.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Sparkman-Brand Chapel, 2115 Ross. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Surviving are a son, C.H. Garlitz, Kansas City, Mo.; a daughter, Mrs. Loraine Hughes, Dallas; two brothers, P.R. Runnels, Terrell, and W.A. Runnels, Chicago, Ill., and one grandchild.
