Forney Pioneer Will Be Buried Sunday |

FORNEY, Kaufman Co., Texas. March 27 - George Venner, a prominant landowner and pioneer citizen of this community, died at his residence in Forney very suddently Saturday night at 9:30 o'clock. He retired as usual and in just a few minutes his brother, W.C. Venner, who occupied the same room with him heard him breathing heavily, called to him and found him dead.
He was 61 years old, had never married. He leaves nine brothers and sisters, most of whom reside in Forney. He was a native of England but had lived in Forney for possibly fifty years.
The funeral will be held from Holy Trinity Episcopal Church Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. George H. Bennett of Terrell, officiating. Interment at Hillcrest Cemetery.
