Mrs. J.J. Chadwick, 73, native of Forney, died Wednesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mayme Dale Baker, 2713 Howell Street.
Mrs. Chadwick was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.H. Bales of Forney and in 1886 was married to Willie L. McCartney. Several years after his death in 1914 she was married to J.J. Chadwick. She recently moved to Dallas.
Funeral services will be hedl at the Baker residence at 10 a.m. Thursday and burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery at Forney.
Surviving are her husband and six daughters, Mrs. Baker, Mrs. Ella Gardner, Brs. Bill Wight, all of Dallas; Mrs. De Etta McCartney and Mrs. A.D. Fox of Seattle, Wash., and Mrs. Pat Derreby of Ranger; three sisters, a brother and four grandchildren.
Note: Fannie Chadwick is buried at Hillcrest Cemetery with other McCartneys. Her birthday is March 1867 and died in 1940. According to the Texas Death Index, a Hanna Francis Chadwick died on November 13, 1940 in Dallas County.
