D.W. Ball, 64, formerly of Forney, who had been living on Caldwell street in Dallas, died Saturday at Parkland Hospital after being struck by an automobile early Friday night on the West Dallas pike. His skull was fractured, physicians said.
Mrs. R.W. Ralston of Brookhollow, told the officers she was driving the car which struck Mr. Ball. The accident occurred as she was passing another machine. Witnesses said that Mr. Ball stepped into the path of one of her fenders just as she passed the other car.
Note: There is a Daniel W. Ball living in Forney in 1910, and is the same age as this D.W. Ball.
