Mrs. Clarkie A. Farmer, former resident of Forney, passed away at her home in Dallas Tuesday afternoon. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the Anderson-Clayton Chapel with the Rev. L.B. Jenkins officiating. Interment was in Hillcrest cemetery.

Mrs. Farmer was born in Tennessee April 3, 1876, a daughter of J.C. Anderson and Tennie Beasley Anderson. She came to Texas and to Forney as a young woman and lived here until fourteen years ago when she moved to Dallas to make her home.

She was married to W. Edgar Farmer on December 10, 1899. Her husband preceded her in death. She is survived by a brother, R.B. Anderson of Dallas.

Mrs. Farmer was a member of the Christian church.

Note: Clarkie Elizabeth Farmer is buried at Hillcrest Cemetery next to her husband. She was born April 3, 1876 and died January 31, 1961.
