Funeral Services for Miss Clara Elizabeth Layden Held Last Friday Morning |

Funeral services were held Friday morning for Miss Clara Elizabeth Layden, who passed away at the home of her brother, Mart Layden, on Wednesday evening, at St. Martin church in Talty, and interment was in Terrell. Officiating at the services were Father John Brady of Gainesville, who read the mass and gave a sermon on the Ten Commandments and Life and Death, and Bishop Joseph P. Lynch of Dallas, who spoke on the beautiful life she had lived.
Miss layden was born on the Irish Ridge east of Forney, and for the past eighteen years has made her home in Forney. She is survived by two sisters, Miss Mary Layden of Forney and Mrs. Margaret Corbett, of Dallas, and five brothers, Pete Layden of Dallas, Tom, Ben, Mart and Mike Layden.
