Reagin - Forney, Kaufman Co., Texas, Dec. 1 - Mrs. Bettie Reagin, wife of L.Z. Reagin, died at the family residence in Forney last night. She was 83 years old, had lived in Forney many years, coming here from Bethel, Giles County, Tennessee. She is survived by her husband, L.Z. Reagin, and three grown children, J.C. Reagin, president of the Forney State Bank; E.E. Reagin, merchant, and Miss Mary Reagin. The funeral was conducted by the Rev. J.C. Byars from the Central Presbyterian Church, of which she was a member. Interment at Hill Crest Cemetery at 4 p.m. today.
Note Elizabeth Reagin is buried at Hillcrest Cemetery next to her husband, Lovezinsky Z. Reagin, their son James C. Reagin and their daughter, Mary Ophelia Reagin. Bettie was born in 1831 and died in 1916.
