Miss Joanne Marshburn and David Yandell repeated vows before the Rev. W.M. Pinson, Jr. in a double-ring ceremony June 17 at Forney Methodist Church.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Mickey Marshburn of Mesquite and Mr. and Mrs. L.D. Yandell of Forney.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor-length gown of imported lace and nylon tulle over taffeta. The fitted bodice featured a scalloped neckline and brief sleeves that were complemented with lace mitts. A layer of tulle covered her taffeta skirt. A lace cap held her finger-tip-length veil, and she carried a white orchid with stephanotis.
Miss Carolyn Stroud was honor attendant, while bridesmaids were Misses Drusilla Pinson, Jane Tanner and LaVerne Pilkinton. Billy Joe Montgomery served as best man. Groomsmen were Tommy Perkins, Don Layne and Jimmy Shipley. Junior attendants were Sandra Layne and Joseph Petty.
Tommy Marshburn and Walter Yandell, brothers of the bride and bridegroom, seated guests and lighted candles.
House party members at the church reception were Misses Myra Shipley, Betty Allen and Nancy Hatley.
Mr. and Mrs. Yandell are graduates of Forney High School.
