Mr. and Mrs. Fitzpatrick, who were married Friday afternoon in Forney, will make their home in Beaumont. The bride is the former Miss Brooks, and the wedding was solemnized at 5 o'clock at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Knox Brooks, Forney.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thurman Henry Fitzpatrick, 3210 Rosedale. He is a graduate of Southern Methodist University and the SMU Law School, and is a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity and Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity. He also belongs to the Dervish and Calyx Clubs.
His bride attended Sophie Newcomb College in New Orleans, La., and is a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority.
Dean Colby Hall of TCU performed the ceremony, for which a program of music was given by Mrs. B.B. Hulsey of Forney.
Mrs. Newton Barnes of Terrell attended the bride as matron of honor and the bridegroom's father acted as best man.
For her wedding, the bride wore a gown of champage Chantilly lace and chiffon. The fitted lace bodice was designed with a high round neckline and ledge sleeves with turn-back cuff detail. The ballerina-length skirt of chiffon and lace panels was gracefully flared. The bride wore a bonnet brim hat of champagne French shadow veiling and gloves of matching lace. She carried a colonial bouquet of green ranunculuses. Her father gave her in marriage.
A reception was held immediately after the ceremony and when Mr. and Mrs. Fitzpatrick left, the bride was wearing a natural linen suit with matching shoes and a bag. Her blouse was of green linen and her hat of emerald-green straw.
