Contract has been awarded for the construction of the Forney High School to cost $50,000, C.W. Bulger, Dallas architect, said yesterday. The Christy Dolph Construction Company, also of Dallas, expected to complete the work by Sept. 15.
Built on what the architect terms the business style, the structure is expected to be one of the most modern of its kind in the State. The school, it is said, will be the first one in Texas based on the ideal plan as proposed by the home economics department of the University of Texas. It will be of two stories, with a basement in which will be a bowl auditorium with a capacity of 400 persons.
