FORNEY, Texas (Sp.) – Zed M. Coston, 79, of the Markout community near here, a former long time Dallas resident, died Monday in Terrell.
A Rockwall native, Coston moved near here in 1942 to engage in farming after a 31-year residence in Dallas. A bronco buster and rodeo performer in his youth, he had held a government contract from 1911 until 1942 to purchase mules for the Army.
Survivors: Wife; son, Fred Coston of Dilas; three daughters, Mrs. Bill Shaw and Miss Mary Coston of Forney and Mrs. Jean Cunningham of Houston; two sisters, Mrs. Pat Doyle and Mrs. Lela Young of Dallas, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m Wednesday in the First Baptist Church of Forney. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.

Shaw, Miss Mary Frances Coston, both of Forney, Mrs. Jack Cunningham, Houston; son, Fred Monroe Coston, Dallas; 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Pat Doyle, Mrs. Lillie Young, both of Dallas. Services 2 p.m. Wednesday, First Baptist Church, Forney, Rev. Jerry Griffin and Rev. Jimmy Walthall officiating. Interment Hillcrest Cemetery, Forney.
