FORNEY, Texas, Sept. 16 – Funeral services for Walter Venner, 80, who died Saturday at the home of a sister in San Antonio, will be held here Sunday at 4:30 p.m. at the First Methodist Church. The Rev. S.M. Dunnan of Winnsboro will officiate. Mr. Venner was born in Devonshire, England, Dec. 16, 1858, and came to America in early manhood. He had lived in Forney the last sixty years. His wife was the late Nanny Fleming Venner.

He is survived by four sons, Henry Venner, Wolfe City; Sam, Walter G. and George, Forney; three daughters, Mrs. L.F. Adams, Crandall; Mrs. Laura Murray, San Antonio; Mrs. C.C. Riter, Sr., Forney; four sisters, Mrs. J.F. Griffin, Arlington; Mrs. Laura Yates and Mrs. Mary Tate Wilmarth, Dallas, and Miss Frances Venner, Forney.
