Mrs. J.M. Daugherty Dies at Home in Dallas

Mrs. J.M. Daugherty, 73, resident of Dallas for the last eighteen years, died at her home, 5203 Parry avenue, Sunday. She came to Dallas from Forney, where she was reared.
Twelve of Mrs. Daugherty’s thirteen children survive her, five sons, O.L. and R.T. Daugherty of Forney, R.C. and N.J. Daugherty of Dallas, J.L. Daugherty of Fort Worth, and five daughters, Mrs. T.J. Davis, Mrs. J.M. McBee, Mrs. J.T. Cook, Mrs. F.E. McCarthy, Mrs. Dolie Smith, Mrs. W.B. Moffett, Dallas, and Mrs. A.C. Fuchs of Houston. She is survived also by thirty grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Short services will be held at the residence Monday at 1 p.m. Services will also be held at the First Baptist Church in Forney, where burial will take place. Mrs. Daugherty was a member of that church.
Note: Sarah Jane Boles Daugherty was buried at Hillcrest Cemetery with other Daughertys.
