Funeral Services Set For Garland Jeweler, Ex-Forney Resident

Funeral services for Sam Thompson Wilhoit, 62, of Garland, who died Monday night in a local hospital, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Weiland Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Wilbur M. Mix officiating.  Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Walter Williamson, J. M. House, N. B. Chancellor, Dr. J. H. Thompson and Ed Pilliod of Dallas and Joe Hughes of Forney.

Mr. Wilhoit was born in 1877 at Shelbyville, Tenn.  He came to Texas about 1903 and settled at Forney, where he married Miss Neva Nelson in 1905.  He lived at Forney for many years and was a resident of Garland for the last twelve years.  He was a jeweler.

Surviving him are his wife; a son, Sam Wilhoit Jr. of Garland; a daughter, Mrs. Sidney  Zimmerman, and a grandson Sidney Zimmerman Jr., both of Dallas.
