R.F. Woodall, 73, of 6610 Wofford, a Dallas resident for about four years, died Thursday in his home after a long illness.
Born in Fairfield, Freestone County, he was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Forney Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife and a son, R.F. Woodall Jr., both of Dallas; four half brothers, James A. Chism, Ernest Chism, Jim Chism and Travis Chism, all of Dallas; and two half sisters, Mrs. M.M. Garner of Forney, Kaufman County, and Mrs. Claud Garner of Kaufman and a grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church, Forney, with the Rev. James H. Stanley officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Forney.

Funeral services were held Friday of last week at 4 o’clock p.m. from the First Baptist church in Forney for R.F. Woodall who died Thursday at his home in Dallas. Dr. Jas. H. Stanley, the Rev. L.B. Jenkins and the Rev. Jerry Griffin officiated at the rites. Interment was in Hillcrest cemetery.
Rufus Franklin Woodall was born Feb. 18, 1887 in Freestone County, Texas. He later lived in Delta county and was a resident of Forney for twenty years before moving to Dallas six years ago.
Mr. Woodall was a member of the Baptist church and served on the Board of Deacons of the Forney church for many years.
He was married to Emma Woods July 6, 1904 and to this union one son was born. Surviving are his wife, and son, R.F. Woodall, Jr., one granddaughter, Margaret Woodall, four half brothers, J.J. Chism, J.E. Chism, R.T. Chism and Jim Chism, all of Dallas; two half-sisters, Mrs. M.M. Garner, Sr. of Forney, Mrs. Clyde Garner of Kaufman.

We cannot find words to express how much the sympathy and comforting words of our friends and neighbors have meant to us in our sorrow. The lovely floral tribute from his Forney friends, we feel, are an expression of appreciation for the friendship of our dear departed one.
