Ray Adams, Sr. of Talty resident, died at his home Thursday morning January 31. Funeral mass was held at St. Martin’s Church at Talty on Saturday, with Father C. Glogowski as celebrant. Burial was at Oakland Cemetery in Terrell.

Raymond Edward Adams was born in Kaufman County, Texas on August 15, 1893. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Leo Adams, Sr., pioneer residents of what was known as “Irish Ridge.” He has lived his entire life in this community and has been engaged in farming and cattle raising. He was married to Mary Catherine Walker on Nov. 22, 1916 and to this union one child was born. Surviving him are his wife, Mayme Adams, one son Ray Adams, Jr. of Forney, three brothers, S.K. Adams and Joe Adams of Talty, Lloyd Adams of Mt. Pleasant.
