Mike Maloney Dies Friday

Mike Maloney, resident of the Talty community, died in Dallas Friday morning following an illness of several months.

His body was moved to the Anderson-Clayton Funeral Home and later carried to his home to remain until the funeral hour.

Rosary will be recited at the residence at 8:30 p.m. Sunday with Father F. Gabryl leading. Requiem mass will be held from St. Martin’s Church at 10:00 a.m. Monday with the Rt. Rev. Msg. John Brady and Father Henry McGill as celebrants. Interment will be in Oakland Memorial Park.

Michael J. Maloney, a son of the late Pat M. Maloney and Mrs. Julia Cronin Maloney, was born on the same farm and in the same house in which he had lived his entire life. He was born on August 1, 1922. He attended St. Martin’s Academy at Talty and after it closed, he was graduated from Forney High School. Since his return from World War II, he has farmed and owrked in Dallas, community from his home at Talty.

He never married and is survived by: his mother, Mrs. Pat M. Maloney of Talty; four brothers, Thomas Maloney of Dallas, Patrick and Jerry Maloney of Terrell, Rt. 6, his twin, Joe Maloney of Dallas; four sisters, Mrs. Roland Murphy of Rawling, Wyoming, Mrs. Roy E. Pitts, Miss Lillian Maloney, and Mrs. R. M. Cozine all of Dallas; a number of nieces and nephews; and other relatives.
