RICHARDSON – Mrs. A. Blanchard Boyer, 53, of 408 Inglewood Drive, a former music teacher, died here Thursday.
A native of Forney and a former resident of Greenville, Mrs. Boyer had lived in Richardson 11 years.
A former piano instructor at St. Mark’s School of Texas, she held a bachelor’s degree from Texas Woman’s University and a master’s degree from the University of Texas. For her abilities as a pianist, she received the Leman Award of Artistic Achievement in 1939.
A member of St. Margaret Episcopal Church, Mrs. Boyer was also a member of the Richardson Music Teachers Society, Dallas Music Teachers Association, Richard Symphony Board and Academy of Texas Composers Association.
Survivors: Husband; two sons, Arthur L. Boyer of Houston and Robert E. Boyer, of Richardson; father, Arthur Pinson of Forney, and a brother, Jess A. Pinson of Dallas.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Margaret Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park in Dallas.
