Langran Rites Slated Monday

Joseph Langran

Funeral services for Joseph Carter Langran, 83, of 10 Willow Wood, a retired executive of Sears, Roebuck & Co., will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Cox Chapel of Highland Park Methodist Church. Entombment will be in Hillcrest Mausoleum.

Mr. Langram [sic], a native of Forney, died here Friday.

A former merchandising manager for Sears in Dallas, he also served as a branch manager in Minneapolis, Minn, several years before retiring here in 1952.

Mr. Langran, an active civic worker, was one of the early organizers of the Park Cities YMCA program.

In addition, he was a former Highland Park town commissioner and a charter member of Highland Park Methodist Church.

He is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Fannie Belle Bingham, Mrs. Walter F. Blackston, Mrs. Stafford Jones and Mrs. E. Roy Mann, all of Dallas.
