FORNEY, Texas, March 21 – Funeral services will be conducted here at 4 p.m.  Friday for J. L. Hawks, former peace officer, who died Thursday in a Dallas hospital.  The Rev. L. M. Joiner and the Rev. L. B. Jenkins will officiate.

Mr. Hawks was a native of Rockwall.  Surviving are his wife, four sons, Jess Hawks and Ernest Hawks of Dallas, Herman Hawks of San Diego, Calif., and Thomas Hawks of Forney, and three daughters, Mrs. Martin Collins of Dallas, and Miss Lone Hawks and Miss Louise Hawks of Forney.
