James Jefferson, Route 2, Mesquite, passed away Sunday. Survived by wife, Mrs. Leona Davis; sons, James Davis, Garland, Roy, Gordon, Kenneth, Hugh and Horace Davis, all of Mesquite; daughters, Mrs. Alvis Nash, Mrs. Daniel Clower, both of Forney; brothers, R.D. Davis, Forney; Perry Davis, Dallas; sister, Mrs. Ed Reynolds, Bay City; eleven grandchildren. Services Tuesday, 10 a.m., First Baptist Church, Forney. Rev. L.B. Jenkins, Rev. W.M. Biggs, Rev. Floyd Parker officiating. Interment Forney Cemetery. Body will repose at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Chapel, Forney, Texas, until service time.

Note: James Jefferson Davis, Jr. is buried at Hillcrest Cemetery next to his wife, Leona Catherine Wiser Davis.
