Services Today for F.B. Rhea, Sr.

F.B. Rhea, Sr., resident of Forney, passed away at his home there early Tuesday morning. Funeral services will be held from the First Methodist Church in Forney at 4:30 p.m. today with the Rev. L.B. Jenkins officiating, assisted by the Rev. Ira C. Kiker, the Rev. James Stanley, and the Rev. Holland. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Forney.

Frank B. Rhea, son of the late Robert Preston and Fannie Bell Rhea, was born in Forney on May 9, 1884. He lived his entire life in that city. As a young man he was associated with his father in a general merchandise store. Thirty two years ago he entered the life insurance business and for the past twenty three years has been connected with Southwestern Life Insurance Company.

He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

He was married to Miss Nell Hill on June 14, 1910 and to this union three children were born. Surviving him are: his wife; two sons, Milton Rhea of Terrell, Frank B. Rhea, Jr. of Forney; one daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Bass of Ft. Worth; three grandchildren, Robert M. Rhea, Jr., Andrew Hill Rhea, and Debra Rhea; two brothers, Joe E. Rhea of Chicago, Illinois, R.P. Rhea, Jr. of Dallas; and one sister, Mrs. Lillian Rhea Chandler of Dallas.

Frank B. Rhea Dies at Forney

FORNEY, Texas – Frank B. Rhea, 72-year-old insurance man who had lived here all his life, died of a heart ailment early Tuesday at his home in Forney.

Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the First Methodist Church here. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery at Forney.

Rhea had been in the life insurance business for more than 30 years, and since 1937 had represented the Southwestern Life Insurance Company in Forney.

He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Nell Hill; a daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Bass of Fort Worth; two sons, Robert Milton Rhea of Terrell and Frank B. Rhea Jr., Forney; two brothers, Joe E. Rhea, Chicago, Ill., and R.P. Rhea, Dallas; a sister, Mrs. Lillian Rhea Chandler, Dallas, and three grandchildren.
