Mrs. Thompson’s Burial Due Friday

Funeral services for Mrs. Emily McKellar Thompson, former resident of Forney, will be held at 5 p.m. Friday at the home of her son, Guyton McKellar, in Forney.

Burial will be in the Forney Cemetery. The Rev. L.B. Haskins will officiate.

Mrs. Thompson died Wednesday in Kansas City, Mo. She lived in Forney for a number of years before moving to Kansas City sixteen years ago.

She is also survived by a daughter, Mrs. Paul Hamilton, Kansas City; a sister, Mrs. Kate Zick, Shreveport, La., and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday for Mrs. A.O. Thompson, mother of Guyton McKellar. Mrs. Thompson died in a Kansas City hospital Wednesday following a long illness.

Rev. L.B. Haskins, pastor of the Christian Church will conduct the services at the home at five o’clock. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery with Clem Pinson, J.W. Pinson, O.W. Reagin, James K. Brooks, Mart Layden and Joe E. Elliott, serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. Thompson was a member of the Christian Church. Surviving are one son, Guyton McKellar of Forney, one daughter, Mrs. Paul Hamilton of Kansas City and four grandchildren.
