E.W. Dickerson Passes Away

Edward W. Dickerson died at the home of a son in Plano Monday, December 9. He was born in Arkansas, February 12, 1870 and was therefore 87 years of age at the time of his passing.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Forney Baptist Church with burial at Hillcrest Cemetery at Forney.

His wife and two daughters preceded him in death. He is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Martha Phelps of Plano, Mrs. F.B. Jones of Forney; seven sons, Hubert and Seth of Plano, Ben and Lester of Garland, Clifford of Richardson, Nick of Grapevine, Olga of Forney. Thirty five grandchildren and forty five great grandchildren.

He had made his home with his son Hubert Dickerson, in Plano for two years.
