Edward A. Clarkson, Forney Resident, Dies

Edward A. Clarkson, 84, of Forney, Kaufman County, died at his home Monday. A native of Charleston, S.C., he moved to Texas in 1879.

He is survived by three daughters and four sons, Mrs. C.M. Adams, C.C. Clarkson and Philip Clarkson of Dallas; Paul Clarkson and Mrs. John Pippins of Forney; John R. Clarkson of New Boston, Bowie County, and Mrs. J.L. Brown of Los Angeles; a brother, John Clarkson of Kansas City, Mo.; nineteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at the Christian Church, Forney. Wednesday at 3 p.m. with the Rev. M.L. Joines of Forney and the Rev. Blackshear Jamison of Longview officiating. Pallbearers will be Clarkson’s grandsons. The burial will be in Blackland Cemetery in Fate, Rockwall County.
