FORNEY, Texas – Funeral services for Carl C. Senter, 79, board chairman of Farmers National Bank of Forney, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in First Christian Church of Forney. Burial will be in Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas.

He died here Tuesday.

A native of Granview, Johnson County, Senter had lived in Forney since 1908.

He had been affiliated with the bank since 1910 as bookkeeper, cashier and then vice-president. In 1930 he became president, a position he held until retiring in January.

Senter was a member of First Christian Church of Forney, Dallas Athletic Club, Chaparral Club and Hella Temple Shrine.

Carl Conway, 112 Brooks Street, Forney, passed away Tuesday. Survived by wife, Mrs. Linn Senter, Forney; daughter, Mrs. Caroline Armstrong; son, Conway Senter, Jr., Forney; four grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives. Services 10 a.m. Thursday, First Christian Church, Forney, Rev. Jerry Griffin and Rev. Alton Bond officiating. Interment Grove Hill Cemetery.
