Services Planned for B.P. Hailey, Farms’ Operator

MESQUITE, Texas – Funeral services for Burton Pinson Hailey, 98, member of a pioneer Dallas County family, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Hillcrest Mausoleum.
Mr. Hailey died here Tuesday.
His grandfather, the Rev. Si Pinson, gave some of the land on which Buckner Orphans Home was established.
Mr. Hailey had operated large farming interests in Dallas and Kaufman Counties for more than 75 years. He had lived on his farm east of Mesquite since 1934, moving there from Forney, where he had resided for more than 50 years.
Survivors: A son, Walter B. Hailey Sr. of Mesquite; two daughters, Mrs. Clifford Duke of Coronado, Calif., and Mrs. George R. Jordan of Dallas, and a sister, Mrs. O.J. Ledbetter of Forney.
Note: Burton Hailey and his wife are buried at the Sparkman Hillcrest cemetery in Dallas, not the Hillcrest Cemetery in Forney.
