A.D. Popp Dies Today in Talty

A. D. (Adolph) Popp, age 82, passed away at the home of his son in the Talty community early this morning (Feb. 21, 1956). He will repose at the Anderson-Clayton Funeral Home until this evening when he will be carried to Strawn, Texas. Funeral services will be held at St. Boniface Catholic Church at Dobson Prairie Thursday.
Adolph D. Popp was born in Austria on February 10, 1874. He came to the United States when he was eleven years old and moved to the Dobson Prairie community in 1905. He was visiting in the Talty community when he became ill.
Surviving him are his wife, two sons, A. J. Popp of Gordon, Frank Popp of Forney; five daughters, Mrs. Joe Schlebach and Mrs. Fred Kasper, both of Terrell; Mrs. Josephine Teichmann of Gordon, Mrs. Joe Kasper of Garland, Mrs. John Schlebach of Dallas; thirty-four grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
Note: A.D. and his wife, Wilhelmina, are buried at the Dodson Prairie Cemetery in Palo Pinto County, Texas.
