AUSTIN, TEX, Nov. 21 – Five samples of beverage or near cider obtained by inspectors of the pure food department from Longview, analyzed by chemists in the department today, were found to contain from 1 1-2 to 4.56 per cent alcohol. It was at the request of the local authorities that these samples were obtained.

The mayor of Forney also sent samples of beverages to be analyzed and these were also found to contain from one to 2.63 per cent alcohol.

The Dean prohibition act prohibits the sale of beverages containing more than one per cent alcohol.
