Forney Officer Promoted

Announcement has been made from the War Department at Washington of the promotion of J. M. Andrews of Forney from Captain to Major of Infantry, United Sates Reserves, dated from July 19. During the World War Major Andrews, whose home was at Campbell, served twenty-six months, first as private, then as First Lieutenant, and later as Captain.
Major Andrews is superintendent of schools at Forney. Through the summer he is instructor in mathematics at the East Texas Normal at Commerce. He is a graduate of that school and has taken special work in the Denton Normal and in the University of Texas.
