50-Year Forney Bank Run by Same Man Over Half Its Existence

FORNEY,  Texas, April 17.-  For nearly twenty-nine years Carl C. Senter, vice-president and cashier of the Farmers National Bank, now celebrating its fiftieth anniversary here, has been associated with that institution.

Mr. Senter joined the bank’s staff Sept. 1, 1910, as bookkeeper, after working since 1908, when he came here from New Mexico, in the E.E. Reagin store.

From bookkeeper he was promoted to assistant cashier, than cashier and vice-president.  On Jan. 8, 1918, he was made a director and on Feb. 24, 1939, took over active charge of the bank’s affairs.

Married in 1916 to Miss Floy Douglas, he has two children, Carolyn Senter and Conway Senter.  He is active in fraternal  affairs, is head of the Mesquite Soil Conservation Association.
