The marriage of Miss Sara Beth Shands, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N.E. Shands, Mesquite, to Dennis Ross Haden was solemnized Tuesday evening at the First Methodist Church, Mesquite. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. R.E. Haden, 2015 Euclid.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a royal-blue suit with a matching hat and black accessories. She carried a prayer book topped with an orchid and showered with stephanotis.

Miss Patricia McWhorter, Mesquite, was maid of honor and Thad McCormick was best man. Jack Nesbit and Earl Lynn Daugherty, both of Mesquite, were ushers.

During a reception at the home of the bride’s parents Mrs. N.D. Shands Jr. presided at the wedding cake and Miss Ann Barrow was in charge of the bride’s book.

The couple will live in San Antonio. Mrs. Haden attended SMU, where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha. The bridegroom also attended SMU.
