Miss Margarett Davis’ Troth Announced with Rites Set for Sept. 14

Mr. and Mrs. James M. Davis of Forney are announcing the betrothal of their daughter, Miss Margaret Davis, and Carl McWherter Jr. of Paris, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl McWherter of Paris. The wedding will take place the evening of Sept. 14 at the First Methodist Church in Forney. They will make their home in Paris.

The bride-elect and bridegroom elect are both well known in Dallas, having visited here frequently, and both being graduates of Southern Methodist University, where they were active on the campus. Miss Davis, an honor graduate of S.M.U., is a member of Delta Gamma sorority and Mortar Board and was active in the Arden Club. During his senior year, Mr. McWherter was president of the Kappa Alpha fraternity and also was a member of Punjaub.
