Forney won its second game of the season by defeating The Terrell Tigers 6 to 0. It was a hard fought and thrilling game all the way.
The game got under way with Forney receiving. The ball was carried on return to mid-field where the Tiger line held and forced Forney to kick. The first half was mostly a battle of the two lines. The backfield of both teams was usually stopped at the line of scrimmage. Two fifteen-yard penalties against the Jackrabbits helped Terrell hold them in the first half.
The third quarter went evenly as did the first part of the fourth until Forney started to march up-field and finally crossed pay dirt shortly before the close of the game for the only score.
Most of the credit for this victory should be given to the line for stopping the Terrell backs before they could get loose and do any damage.
Some three hundred cars were parked adjacent to the football field, the game was attended by around twelve hundred fans, the largest attendance at a game in Forney for quite awhile.
