1. Reading and approval of minutes of last writing.
2. Letter of dismission granted Bro. J.H. and wife FLETCHER, Pearl SIMMONDS, also Bro. E.J. ELY and wife and Franky ELY.
3. Motion and sec. to appoint committee of Sisters as follows to collect funds to pay janitor. Sister Gertrude LEE, Robby HAILEY and Mary PINSON named for committee – carried.
4. Motion and sec. that E.M. DOZIER be authorized to select and employ three overseers janitor for church.

March Meeting 1911 (March 11th)

2. Motion and sec. to dismiss committee appointed to collect funds to pay janitor – carried.

3. Call for report of committee from Nov. meeting to see Sister WILLIAMS.
Committee reports having seen the Sister. She being present, made the following statement. Said she was guilty of the charge, and felt that she had done a great sin had prayed over it to God to forgive her had been very ______ and felt that God had answered her prayer. Asked that the church forgive.
4. Motion and sec. to retain Sister WILLIAMS in our fellowship – carried.
5. Motion and sec. to begin our meeting with Saturday before second Lord’s
day in July – carried.
6. Motion and sec to change time of prayer meeting from Tuesday to Wednesday night of each week.

HEARE. Motion and sec. to take down the old frame for tent service and
sell the lumber. Place the sale in incidental fund of the church.

BLANKENSHIP.
1. Reading and approval of minutes of last months meetings.
2. the election of messengers to represent us in East Fork Association as
follows: Motion and sec. to elect Albert SPILLMAN, R.L. ANTHONY, and
A.A. DARDEN and Alternates J.T. MILLER, M.L. HEAD, and Wilburn
BRADLEY – carried.
3. Motion and sec. to elect Brethren J.T. MILLER collector for Associational
missions Bro. A.A. DARDEN for State Mission and J.C. GARNER for
Foreign Missions – carried.

Sept. Meeting 9th, 1911
1. Reading minutes of last conference meeting. Motion and sec. to adopt – carried.
2. Motion and sec. to grant letter of dismission to Dr. W.M. GARRETT. He
Dr. GARRETT wanted to omit the insertion of the fact that he was an ordained minister.
3. Motion and sec. to appoint a committee of two: to-wit – Pastor BLANKENSHIP and J.T. MILLER to confer with Dr. GARRETT as to his wish arrange for the letter report back to church – carried.

Received by letter Sister Johnnie JONES from Arlington.
Wednesday Night 13th
Motion and sec. to grant Dr. W.M. GARRETT letter of dismission as a lay
member. He tendered back to church all right he had ever received to officiate in the Gospel ministry – carried.

Oct. 7th, 1911
1. Reading and adoption of minutes of last meeting.
2. Called for acknowledgement – none. Reference – none. Miscellaneous
business. Clerk read Bro. D.C. HARDIN’s letter of application for letter of
dismission for Sister Maggie HICKS. Said letter was granted to forwarded to
Pastor D.C. HARDIN of Hickory Baptist Church. For certain reports to ___
having married a second living husband without proper Bible Authority, Bro. HARDIN returned said letter.
3. By motion and sec. Pastor appointed committee of Mrs. Elberta KEMP and
J.C. GARNER to investigate this case of Sister HICKS.
4. Motion and sec. to appoint Albert SPELLMAN and M.B. HEAD Messengers
to the Baptist Missionary Association. N.C. WHITTEMORE and Wilmar BRADLEY as Alternates.

Nov. 11, 1911
First Baptist Church after Tuesday by pastor E.D. BLANKENSHIP in conference.
1. Motion and sec. to adopt minutes of previous conference as read – carried. Call for acknowledgment – none. Unfinished business. Committee report Sister KEMP stated she had no facts to state. J.C. GARNER reported having heard through Bro. HARDIN that Mrs. HICKS had moved. He did not know her whereabouts.
2. Motion and sec. to continue said committee to further investigate the matter – carried.
3. Church met into election of church clerk and treasurer which resulted in the election of J.C. GARNER, Clerk and E.M. DOZIER, Treasurer.
4. Motion and sec. to grant pastor E.D. BLANKENSHIP unlimited leave of
absence to visit Eurica Springs, Ark. for his health. – carried. Conference adjourned.

1. Reading and approval of minutes of last conference.
2. Call for report of committee to see after the matter of Sister HICKS.
Committee reported having made effort to learn of conditions but failed to see the Sister or learn definitely the facts in the case. Motion and sec. to dismiss the committee – carried. Conference adjourned to Sunday morning.
Sunday morning after. Ready letter moved from clerk of Mesquite Church. Bro. Albert SPILLMAN being called to the chair.
Bro. Albert SPILLMAN tendered resignation of Bro. E.D. BLANKENSHIP
to pastorate of church. Motion and sec. to except(sic). carried.
J.C. GARNER tendered resignation of Sister BLANKINSHIP as teacher
to Baraca Class. Motion and sec. to except same – carried.
J.C. GARNER moved to appoint Miss Laura PINSON to S______ Sister
BLANKENSHIP. Carried. Conference adjourned to next service.

Dec. 17, 1911
First Baptist of Forney in conference. After preaching by Bro. H.H. CONWAY
from last regular conference called. Bro. J.T. MILLER called to moderate
the body.
2. Motion second to elect pastor for ensuing year J.C. GARNER put in nomination the names of Bro. H.H. CONWAY. Moderator called to know if there be any other nominees. Vote take Stood 25 for Bro. CONWAY 1 against.
3. Motion and sec. to make salary for half time. Four Hundred ($400.00) –
carried.
4. Motion and sec. that Brethren J.F. YATES, M.L. HEAD and J.C. GARNER
a committee to notify Bro. CONWAY and report to church – carried.

July Meeting 1912 (21st day of Month)
Just before preaching service church in conference to consider question of purchase of new organ.
1. Motion and sec. to turn down the organ. Three in our house a the price of $125.00 – carried.
2. Motion and sec. to appoint Bro. R.L. ANTHONY as our representative to confer with Mr. SNYDER at to this matter – carried.
Aug. 11th, 1912
Church in conference. Motion and sec. that Bro. Albert SPILLMAN fill the chair
in absence of Pastor H.A. CONWAY – carried. Motion and sec. that moderator appoint to committee as follows, first one to confer with Mr. SNYDER as to the list price on the organ in our house – committee: R.R. BALL and R.L. ANTHONY. Second one to solicit funds to pay for in case of purchase of instrument in this instance. Committee names: R.P. PINSON, N.C.

J.C. GARNER read to church following Resolution passed on April 9, 1902.
“Resolved that the First Baptist Church of Forney endorsed the East Texas
Association now known as the Baptist Missionary Association and pledge
ourselves to do all our mission work through this channel.”
J.C. GARNER made motion that this Resolution be stricken from our church
records. Said motion was seconded by Bro. J.T. YATES.
Subject discussed by Brethren H.A. CONWAY, W.E. HARVEY, Albert SPILLMAN, Al LEDBETTER and J.C. GARNER. Pastor took the note which stood 19 for striking our and 2 against. Mo. declared it – carried.

Sept Meeting 1912
Church in conference. Members 7 was at. 14 visitors two [sic].
After preaching pastor called church in conference.
1. Reading minutes of previous conference. After reading motion and sec. to
reconsider action of church on Aug. 25, as regards to striking from our records one certain Resolution of April 9, 1902. After some debating the subject stood in favor of __?___ that act 9 against 1.
2. Report of committee to solicit subscriptions to purchase of organ. Total amt. on Subscription list $92.50.
3. Motion and sec. that pastor appoint a committee to purchase instrument for church – carried. Committee on purchase (not listed).
4. Motion and sec. that pastor appoint a committee of 6 to solicit State missions among the membership – carried. Pastor appointed on committee Al LEDBETTER, E.M. DOZIER, R.L. ANTHONY, Mrs. C.W. BOON, Miss Myrtle SOWELL and Gertrude LEE. Conference adjourned.

This is to certify that Brother W.A. BUFKIN is an ordained Deacon of
Crandall Baptist Church and Sisters W.A. BUFKIN and Della BUFKIN are all
members of good standing and full fellowship and their request are dismissed from us when joined to another church of same faith and order.
