A lover of sports, and one who participates as an active player and a spectator, James Adkisson is serving his first year as athletic Coach in Forney High School.

Mr. Adkisson, born in Jewett, Leon County, was educated in the public schools and in Southern Methodist University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree. He has had seven years teaching experience.

Mr. Adkisson married Miss Pauline Cameron in 1936, and they have one son, Jimmy, who promises to be a “chip off the old block” and will soon be enjoying his father’s hobbies of fishing and hunting.
